Office 2004 is released

I saw that last night, went straight to the CompUSA web site, and they still
didn't have it available at all. So I went there and there it was on the
shelf.

I had a gift card for $200 that was just waiting for Office to be officially
released. Otherwise I would have ordered it online. I ended up only paying
$60 out of my pocket.

Now that I have it...

Wow! What an improvement with Entourage. I love the Project Manager. The
newsreader has been cosmetically altered. I can't really say if it is an
improvement or not. Time will tell. It looks nice though. I'm using the
right sided preview pane to see if I can work with that.

From the little time I have used it, some quirky bugs with the scroll bars,
and display of the windows after using Expose features of Mac OS X Panther.

I probably won't notice much of a difference in the other applications
because I never really used all the features available in v.X.

I didn't finish my thought here... Sorry.

Should have been..

have been remedied.

Yes: The newsreader's improvements are more than cosmetic :) I have a
choice of doing these newsgroups with either Forte Agent or Entourage 2004.
I always choose Entourage 2004 :)

Hint: Investigate the Custom Arrangements on the View menu: with a little
fiddling you can get very close to a correctly-threaded View :)

I prefer the three-pane view, with the preview pane on the bottom, newsgroup
list view on the top, and accounts on the left.

Cheers
