Office 2004 license upgrade from single to three

Hi, I have a single lic of Office 2004. I have one on my laptop and one on my desktop. I got a new laptop so I moved the old one to home. Now at home I have a desktop and laptop connected via airport. When I start Office on one and the other is on I get a lic error. Makes sense since they are both on now, as compared to before when I only used one at a time.

Question: How can I upgrade the lic to have three machines running Office 2004 without upgrading to Office 2008 ?

Hi Trey -

AFAIK there is no way to "upgrade" the license unless you're willing to go
the bite for at least a 5 station volume license - which is most likely a
more expensive route than you'd like to take :) Unless this is a business
investment & you expect your need to grow over the next 2 years:

Your 2 more viable alternatives are (a) buy another copy of the Standard
Edition (or Professional), or (b) buy a copy of the Student/Teacher Edition
which includes 3 licenses [but involves some restrictions on use].

If you are a student or teacher, you can purchase the Student & Teacher
Edition. Otherwise, it might be less expensive to buy the Office 2008 Home
& Student Edition, which includes three license keys. I don't think there
is an easy way to buy a small number of licenses at a discount per-unit
price.
