Office 2004 - "Old Version"

Saw an ad for this product. Says it's the "old version." What does
that mean? No updates?

It most likely means that 2004 is not the most current version of Mac Office
(2008 is) and is no longer being produced by MS. It is still being updated
regularly & I expect it will continue to be supported for at least another
year... IMHO, support for it will quite likely be extended until the next
major release of the suite.

All that said, it is a very worthwhile investment if you're upgrading from
Office X & will most certainly provide an upgrade path to the next version
even if you choose to skip over Office 2008.
