office 2004 project center- privacy- I do not want my contacts in myaddress book

I work with patients and would like to use the project center to
manage my patient interactions- record notes from conversations and
make my todo list, etc. but when I put in a contact to the project
manager- it automatically also appears in my address book- which I do
not want. is there anyway to stop that, make the contact private or at
least group the contacts under one name that is not apparent to anyone
who opens my entourage. also, how many projects can be added until
entourage freezes, which I've heard is a problem...

is this different in office 2008?

third, can we make assign a project to word documents in 2008- that
would really be interactive.

thank you

The Project Center does not create and store a separate set of data
apart from your mail, contacts, calendar, etc. It just groups them
together in a single view and shows you everything that has that Project
title assigned to it.

If you're concerned about privacy then you should be using Mac OS X's
password protection capabilities (Apple menu --> System Preferences...
--> Accounts --> Login Options) to protect your data. Entourage does not
have built in security for protecting your data.

I'm not quite sure I understand what you mean by group the contacts
under one name. Groups are not like folders. They don't *contain* names.
They simply associate several contact records together.

I've heard nothing about multiple projects freezing Entourage.

You can not assign projects to documents but you can assign documents to
projects. You can do this within Word 2008 by opening View --> Project
Palette, selecting your project and clicking the orange " + " sign to
add the current document to the project.

Hope this helps!
