In the main screen of the Office 2004 Project Gallery, there are icons for
things like ³Mail Message² and ³Calendar Event². How can I add, for example,
³Address Book Entry² or ³Task² to the Project Gallery?
You can't. Not that way. But note that even for ³Mail Message² and
³Calendar Event² you can't make your own customized templates as you can for
Word documents ‹ you get just the standard variety. And those can be made -
if you've switch to Entourage first, of course - via File/New/.
You could make your own "templates" for customized tasks or contacts
(address book entries), or calendar event or message - and open them from a
keyboard shortcut via a script.
If you want to know how to do that, write back - just to the Entourage news
group. You do not need to cross-post to the other 3 newsgroups (please
don't). The script in each case is only a few lines long, but due to an
incompatibility between the new Panther Script Editor and the Entourage
script menu (for saving script properties) there's an extra twist I'll have
to explain how to do it.
Come to think of it, if you want to be able to do this from any application,
you could use the System's script menu, but it has no keyboard keyboard
shortcuts. However there's no issue with the script menu in that case - I
just need to tell you how to display it.
