Hi, y'all...my question's similar to one that was posted ages ago, but the discussion was closed. so i'll repost, with a summary of what's happened:
1. Today, after nearly a year of having my new macbook (with Leopard OS), Word refuses to open, saying that I'm running one too many installations on the same product key (probably, since I transferred EVERYTHING from my Old macbook with Tiger OS to this one, but this is the first time i've had trouble.)
2. I got to this website, and it told me to reinstall on a different product key. Since I haven't used the other product keys, sure, why not? I uninstall, then insert the CD and start up Office Setup Assistant. Go through the first and 2nd tabs, signing the agreement.
3. Then comes the problem. At the user information screen, THE SETUP FREEZES. I have to force quit to get out of it. This happens three more times.
I can't actually get past the User Information Screen on the Setup Assistant, and I'm getting worried. I need my Office Apps for all my work!!!
I was never using a test-run, I've been able to use my Office Apps for months and months without problems stemming from being used on an older OS, and I've tried rebooting my comp in case for some reason that was the case. Help asap, please????????????
Thanks!
