I have installed Microsoft Office 2004 - but did NOT uninstall Test Drive.
Will this create problems?

No, there won't be any problem even if you left the test drive in your machine.

All other operation and functionality of the computer should be unaffected.

But you must uninstall the test drive before you install a licensed full
version of Microsoft Office, as it could cause conflict and instability.

But the just said he did install the (non-Test Drive) Office 2004 on top.

Just having it there shouldn't create problems. But it left preferences
around which might indeed interfere.

I have done the same thing as this user and I'm having an issue where
the full version of Office 2004 works fine, but the 2004 Test Drive is
what opens when I double click on a document or excel file. How would
I go about changing this association so that the full version opens
when I double click on a file?

Any info is appreciated, thanks!

Do a Get Info (cmd-I) on any (for example) Word file. In the Open With
panel of Info, select the correct version of Word and then click Change All
to reset the file associations.

Repeat for other Office programs.
