Office 2007 and 2003 on same laptop

Because of the nature of my work, I need to have access to both 2003 and 2007
versions of MS Office. Does anyone have experience of having both versions
on the same PC? If so are there any problems, tips, things to look out for?

I am using Vista Home Premium on a standalone laptop.

I know that it would be important to install 2003 before 2007.

Any help/shared experience would be appreciated.

Opening a file in explorer will open it in the later version 2007
Update 2003 before installing 2007
I assume you are aware only a single instance of OL can be installed
I ran 2k & 2003 without problems

Have you considered using Virtual PC ? I had exactly the same issue, so ran
a VHD of XP Pro with Office 2003 loaded and works fine. Printing may be an
issue as the VM will not recognise USB ports but you can set up a shared
folder on your physical drive and save everything in there, then load into
Office 2007 for printing.
