Office 2007 and Medialess License Kit

I am building my own computer and have bought the Medialess License Kit
(Small Business version) which does not come with a disc. Can I download the
Office 2007 Trial, then use this license to activate the permanent Small
Business Version?

According to Microsoft (in their commercial OEM section) quote "At the end
of the 60 days, a customer can return to you and purchase the MLK, which will
convert the trial to a full version."

Is this correct?

IMO its a bad idea/unnecessary worry to use a web download for a product
which is readily available on cd

Thanks DL, but there's a big price difference (A$260 to A$750) and it is on a
new computer so it can be OEM.

There are many legitimate sites that sell OEM versions, though I guess that
may depend on your location.

The MLK is a different license than the conversion license for the trial
software. The MLK license is where the OEM manufacturer installs their copy
of the software, OPK, on the computer and then sells the license to you.
The OPK installation acts as a trial until the trial expires. Again, it is
a different version than the trial that is downloaded from Microsoft's web
site. If you don't have the OPK disk, the MLK license is worthless AFAIK.

See:

http://oem.microsoft.com/public/seo/2007_office_system.htm for the
information on the OEM installation of the software and

http://oem.microsoft.com/public/seo/oaa.htm for information on activating a
trial

You can of course purchase from either a UK or US site, provided that site
offers overseas postage
The 'english' version of Office is the same for any english speaking area

Thanks LVTravel,

That is the answer I was waiting for. You've made up my mind and I'd better
rearrange my computer building.

Once again thanks and thanks to DL for responding.
