Office 2007 and Outlook Express French spellchecker

I am aware of this issue http://support.microsoft.com/kb/932974
and would like to confirm the following:
Windows XP machine and Office 2007 home and students edition
no Outlook in this Office edition
using Outlook express for email and only french spellchecker available
I have installed english proofing from Office 2003 CD and that resolved the
issue
my question is can I install the english proofing from Office XP disk and
will it help?
I dont have Office XP CD to try it... Big discussion with my colleagues here
Please help!!! we need light on this issue. Thanks alot...

You no longer have spell checking capabilities in some languages in Outlook
Express 6.0 after you install the 2007 Microsoft Office system:

Outlook Express cannot use the MS Word spell check in Office 2007.
Downloading a free spell check is the simplest way around this.
