Office 2007 Application pane remains transparent after coming up

I installed Office Enterprise 2007, updating my Office 2003. Now when I open
an application (excel or word, for example) the pane remains transparent.
Clicking on the top bar to activate the window pane, it still remains
transparent. My system has Windows XP MCE 2002 os, 512MB RAM, P4 2.4GHz
processor. I did not have a problem with Office 2003. I updated my ATI
graphics driver, turned off "transparent while dragging" windows options.
Nothing seems to help.
