Office 2007 asks for repair

Have Office 2007 Home and Student on Windows XP. When any office program is
started it asks for "repair" to be run. When I try to repair, uninstall, or
install (from CD) I get an error message that setup could not continue. Why?

More infomation is needed..

Please add the following reg keys..

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Installer]
"Debug"=dword:00000007
"Logging"="voicewarmup"

Then try to do a repair from add/remove. After it fails goto start, run, and
type
"%temp%" (without the quotes). Sort the temp folder by details and look for
the newest log. Open that log and search it for "value 3" (without quotes).
If you find any instances of value 3 please paste about 10 lines above and
below the value 3 here.

Also paste the last 10 lines of the log file here.

Thanks
