Office 2007 Beta destroys Office 2K

I downloaded and installed Office 2007. It destroyed my Office Pro 2k. Now
when I try to reload my Off 2k it refuses to install. When I try to
un-install Off 2k I get the error message

"This patch could not be opened. Verify that the patch exists and that you
can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a
valid Windows Installation patch package."

How do I get to re-install my Off Pro 2k. Is there a registry key or
something I can reset so that I can install my valid, legal copy of Off 2k?

I even tried to use the restore point to no avail.

Hi Dennis,

The 'patch package' error may not be related to Office 2007, but to a broken connection to the Office 2000 prior installation and
the updates to it. This may be from using a registry or computer 'cleanup' utility. These often have a habit of deleting too
much, or it can be from deleting one of the updates folder on the PC.

Thanx for the info. Downloaded and installed the utility...
unfortunately... there are no programs in the list. Yes, the list comes up
totally blank. Any other thoughts?
