Does anyone know exactly when the office 2007 beta edition will expire and if
microsoft will offer a discount for beta testers?

i didnt know that it will expire. Is there a setting that you can
change (registry) that will make it not expire?

Chances are you are not a "beta tester". You are probably someone who's
running the public beta. Not the same thing. Beta testers have been working
on this project for over a year and have a private newsgroup.

If you downloaded the public beta 2, then you are just a beta user not a
beta tester. There definitely will be no discount for beta users. No one
knows if the 10,000 official beta testers will receive any discount or
not. At this point, I am not expecting any.

No. It will expire. After it expired, you need to purchase Office 2007
to keep using it.

My question is if I download the public beta 2, when it expires will it let
me roll back to my previous form of Office or will i have to completely
reinstall it again?

Once it expires, you'll have to remove Office 2007. Then reinstall your
previous Office version (if you removed it during Office 2007 setup),
and you are good to go.
