Office 2007 Beta, Outlook stopped working

O

OutlookSOLVER

Hey hello,

it's my first time here, and I'm looking for a solution to my problem :)
As anyone I suppose.

I installed the Office 2007 Plus beta version a while ago, and yesterday I
started working in Excel. Before yesterday, and yesterday morning Outlook
worked perfectly, no problems so far.

When I was working in Excel I wanted to install/activate the Excel SOLVER,
which I got working after a while. But while my SOLVER was working, my
complete Outlook was gone. I can't even start/find the Outlook program
anymore. And when I tried to repair Office or add Outlook again, by using the
setup file, it told me that Outlook couldn't be installed. It gave the orange
cross during the setup.

So I thought, well, I'll download the Outlook plus Business Contact Manager,
but now I'll have to pay for it (not that big of a problem, although I don't
have a credit card). Can anyone help me?
For more information please reply.

Thanks in advance,

Bart Boonacker

Do you still have an Outlook.exe file on your computer? Have you tried
using Office Diagnostics?

Hey Milly,

I haven't got the outlook.exe file on my computer, that's the strange part.
I only have the outlook.exe in my Office10 directory, not in my Office12
directory.
The Office Diagnostics tool says that there are no problems/conflicts etc.
I am wondering if the installed Outlook was the 2007 beta version, because I
can't install it anymore from the setup file (OPPLUS-EN.exe)
At least I can't use the Outlook XP anymore because of OLE registration
problems.
It says I need to run the set-up again. But I don't want Outlook XP, I want
to try the Outlook 2007.
