Cannot view web folders in sharepoint 2001 after installing Office 2007
This keeping us from migrating to the new version. We need to be able to
view these files to move them to sharepoint 2007.

Hi Sheldon,

While you've repeated this several times, you haven't given any information to go on. Is this the release version of Office 2007 or
a beta, what Windows version are you working on?

Do you get error messages or ????

What steps are you taking when you say you cannot see the web folders.

There are going to be issues with Sharepoint Portal Server 2001 (now out of primary support cycle) as time goes on with newer
versions of Office. You may be running into this issue
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927280/en-us

It's also not clear how the Server migration is affected by this, if it's a client side issue, but you may want to post in the MS
Office Sharepoint Portal server newsgroup using the link below as well, especially on migration planning and issues to be aware of.

Thank you so much for the response. To follow up this is the released version
of office 2007 and this is a client machine WINXP pro that has 2003
SharePoint Client installed and was running office 2003 prior to upgrading
and we have a SharePoint portal with a Document Management library that users
access through a web site and with web folders. When we updated to 2003 we
needed to install the SharePoint 2003 client install for backward
capabilities to be able to access a web folders. After we installed Office
2007 on a client machine the web folders are empty you can’t see anything
folders or docs. We do have a SharePoint 2003 portal also we can still view
its web folders with no problems. We could not migrate our document library
to 2003 because of the approval process that was lacking in 2003. We use that
feature and needed to keep it in place.
