Why does Office 2007 have so few colour options? Blue, Mostly blue (called
silver) and Black?
The first two are annoying for me because they show almost no difference
between the active an inactive title bars. The Black scheme is better but I'm
no fan of Black.
The lack of a 3D border also means that if you have overlapping windows it's
not obvious where one window ends and another starts. Since our company moved
to Office 2007 I have often ended up typing or issuing or commands to the
wrong window.
What compounds the issue is that I've already told Windows what colour to
use for desktop elements. I chose the ones I've been using for the last
several years. Why in this age are we suddenly having options taken away from
us?
Is there a way for me to change the border colour so that it's the way I
want it? I don't mind if it's a technical solution. I'm quite happy to hack
around in the registry.
