Office 2007 Compatability

Be warned that paginations shift significantly when creating a Word 2007 doc
and saving in "compatability mode" as 97-2003. Help lines which say this
happens only with manual page breaks are untrue, and the remedy offered by
removing the "extra line" revealed by Paragraph symbols under Show All also
doesn't work.

I have a busy and successful custom publishing consultancy and this has been
HORRIBLE. I have to UNinstall Office 2007 as it is anything BUT compatible.

Hi Birdie,

I assume you're speaking of the same document in the two different formats with the same printer choice on the same computer?

Can you explain how much of a change 'significantly' is in this case?

If you use Word Advanced Options (Alt, T, O, A) and scroll down to 'Display' category and change the setting for
'Optimize character positioning for layout rather than readability'
does it make a difference.

You may also want to look at the style set you're using to see if it's using the 1.15 line spacing default of Word 2007 or the Word
2003 set choice?
