Office 2007 compatibility pack doesnt do it

I have an office xp user that I cant get the office 2007 compat pack to work
for. It says it loads OK but evrertime I start excel it says loading
features(like it is loading the compat features), then when we
try to open an xlsx(which it does assoc with excel, it says incompatible
format...
what can we try next? -other than telling everybody in 2007 not to save in
2007 format

Hi Carl,

I suggest that you install the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility and remove
the Office 2007 Compatibility pack, Restart the machine, Repair Office XP and
then reinstall the Office 2007 Compatibility program.
