Hello. I have a user (User A) who is sending .docm files to other users,
including User B. Other users, (including myself) are able to open these
files, but User B gets an error that the file is a pre-release version of an
Office 2007 file, and could not be opened with that version of the
Compatibility Pack. We are all using Windows XP with Office XP, and none
have participated in Beta for 2007 on their machines. I have determined that
the issue is not Policy related on the machine. I don't believe that the
Compatibility pack is working correctly. I've ripped out anything having to
do with Office 2007 file formats and reinstalled the Compatibility pack with
no luck. After reinstalling the Compatibility pack, I attempted to save a
Word document as a Word 2007 document, and received an error saving the file.
What else can I try?
