Office 2007 Compatibility Pack Installation

The General

All our client machines are running MS WinXP Pro with Office 2003 Pro.
Upon successful testing , we deployed the Office 2007 Compatibility Pack via
SMS 2003. 25% of the client machines restarted after installation.

From the KB article on the Office 2007 Compatibility Pack, there was no
indication that it required a restart after installation. Is there anyone out
there that experienced the same problem? I have yet to figure out what caused
the unexpected restart of the client machines.

Sorry, I know I am not answering your question, but I am wondering what
parameters you used when you deployed the Compatibility Pack via SMS. Thanks.

This is the parameters in SMS: msiexec.exe /q ALLUSERS=2 /m MSIEGRLB /i
"O12Conv.msi"

I also found out that the main cause is when MS Outlook is open while
installing the patch, the computer will be forced to restart without any
warnings.
