Office 2007 configures everytime I open it

I recently upgraded from Office 2003 to Office 2007. Everytime I open a 2007
application, it goes through the configuration process. How do I stop this?
Thanks for you help!

I installed the service pack 2 (with some difficulties), and after a couple
of reboots, it appears to be working fine now.

I have SP3 but am still having the same problem
