Office 2007 Crashing and Dissappearing items

We upgraded to Office 2007 (XP operating system)
and since we did we crash Alot!
I will outline the different types of crashing across the varrious
applications

The most significant times is in PowerPoint when working with Charts or if
we insert pages from a file created in 2003
we also have are charts dissappear in PowerPoint, you can still click the
bounding box but the chart will dissappear or sometimes just the data lables.
You have to close PowerPoint completly then go thru the crash message and
reopen. When the charts dissapear they won't print as well. Or other times
you will make an edit (again usually to the chart) and it won't show but if
you flip to the next page and back then it will. This doesn't seem to be
document specific and has had no pattern of when it will occur.

In Word we have issues with embedding PowerPoint, again this is not
consistant, but everything will look fine on the page but when you print only
the text will print any objects or pictures in the embedded slide will not

I would appreciate any thoughts on this, I'm in Desktop Publishing and not
IT but it is somehow falling on our department so I need to be able to
discuss with them possible solutions. I have read something about print
drivers but I am not clear on that as well and would that cause these type of
issues

Bad print drivers can cause all sorts of problems, and unfortunatly PowerPoint
and to some extent Word are fussier than they should be about print drivers.

This explains how to install a known-good driver for test purposes, a very good
place to start diagnosing the problem:

If following the steps there make no difference, then it's probably not your
printer drivers at fault.
