In Office versions past, it was possible to temporarily disable
spellchecker by renaming these files:
MSGR3EN.LEX
MSSPELL3.DLL
However, in Office 2007 the spelling dictionary .dll isn't in C:
\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\PROOF like it was with
2000/2003. I can't find it anywhare and so cannot use this trick to
disable spellchecker for use in exams.
If anyone knows how to temporarily turn off spellchecker in office
2007 in a way that can't easily be reversed by the more savvy kids,
and that can be quickly applied to 20 laptops that are to be used on
stand-alone User type accounts on computers normally on Exchange 2003
I'd be most grateful.
Thanks,
Tim
