Hello,
I just purchased a retail version of Office Standard 2007. I would
like to downgrade to Office Standard 2003. Is there a place where I
can either order the CD or download the files required to downgrade
the product? I have searched and am not able to find out how to do
this.

Thank You,
Greg Johnson

Retail version don't apply for downgrading. Amazon used to have some 2003
suites but I haven't looked for a couple of months. I know you don't want to
hear this but if you want 2003, it's going to cost you more money - and I
already see you don't want to spend anything for an add-in to get the
classic menus. I am curious why you bought 2007, assuming you'd read about
the ribbon interface.

For goodness' sake, everything you read about the Uncustomizable Ribbon from
Microsoft is fairly positive, duh. The fact is that power users of Office XP
have lost a huge benefit of Office XP in Office 2007: the ability to
customize toolbars. Tasks previously set up to be completed in 1 click now
take 3 or 4. The Quick Access bar is no substitute. Frankly, the
Uncustomizable Ribbon is insulting to loyal Office XP power users. With an
SP2, Microsoft could easily add Classic Menus or XP Menus and, most
importantly, easily Customizable Ribbon Groups and make *everyone* happy. Why
wouldn't Microsoft want to do that?
