Office 2007 download/Windows Explorer

P

Peter C. Bogert

I have downloaded Office 2007 pro and keep having a strange problem. When I
right click on one of the two downloaded files, Windows explorer freezes and
then my system freezes. I can't control-alt-delete my way to Task Manager.
I have to reboot the machine by pulling the plug.

I had a similar problem yesterday trying to run the CD that was given out at
the Launch. Trying to browse the CD resulted in the system freezing.

Any suggestions? I finally got the program installed, but I can't copy or
move the files I downloaded.

Thanks for any help!

P.S. No freezes took place before the download/install. Spyware and
antivirus in place and effective.

Hi Peter,

Check to see if the program file has a .exe extension on it. If not, rename the file to include .exe and see if that helps. If
not, then the download may be incomplete or corrupt.
