We just installed MS Office 2007 Enterprise in our work place and all
I have to say is if I wanted a MAC and I wanted my programs to look
like they ran on a MAC I would have purchased one.
I must admit that I am very used to the old menu stile and the new
Ribons, which I have hidden because I can't stand, are a huge learning
curve. I don't like the colors or the fact that they have tried to
blend all frames together so there is no longer any distinct contract
between frames.
Also, with the Outlook client and the calendar, I am waiting for the
copyrite suites to begin. They look almost exactly like the Mail and
iCal applications. I would like to know why a product with 3% of the
market share (Apple) seems to be driving the way the rest of the
industry does things?
As far as I can tell, the Office 2007 team has not added any
functionality to the product. They have changed the look to make it
look like MAC software and made the old functions harder to find. I
would not recommend anyone to purchase this software. I would go to a
Open Office or stay with the older versions of Office before wasting
my money on this product.
