I am running Office 2007 Enterprise on a clean install of Vista Ultimate.
When I try to export my contacts I get the following error:
A file error has occurring the translator while trying to save a field map.
The file "C:\Documents and Settings\ReleaseEngineer.Macrovision\Application
Data\Microsoft Excel 97-2003.ADR" was not found by the translator. Check the
spelling of the file name and path. If the file is on a netowrk or an
external device, the volume must be mounted and registered with the system.
I have run the repair feature using the installation media. I noticed the
the Documents and Settings folder had a DENY for Everyone in the permissions
so I changed that so I can easily access the folder. There is not folder in
the stated path so I assuming that is probably where the problem is. I get a
similar error no matter what export type I choose (.csv, etc.).
The file seems to be created by due to the size of my contacts I can't
verify that they are all intact. And of course with something as important
as contacts I don't want to employ the famous solution that if it works it
works even if it gives an error.
Thanks in advance for your help.
