office 2007 hangs in Vista

Hi
I am running Office 2007 on Vista and I can't do anything in Word. I open a
doc and it just hangs. If i close and reopen the doc is in the
'recovered'file area but i can't get into them or delete them.

I tried reinstalling but no luck. Please Help!
