One of our clients is having an intermittent issue on two systems. When they
open up an Office document from Outlook or switching between applications,
primarily with Excel, the application will freeze as if it is half-finished
(like a slow loading webpage, the toolbar and a section of the spreadsheet
will load and nothing else). In the error log, all we get is a generic 1002
error. Both machines are running Win XP SP2, 4GB of RAM, plenty of hard
drive space. This is so intermittent that it is an annoyance at this point,
but I'm frustrated that I can't find a solution. I've run out of ideas on my
side on the basics (repair Office, check memory settings, etc).
