Office 2007 Help displays XML code, but no computer based help.

HP Pavillion dv9000 laptop, Windows Vista, Office 2007 professional.
While in any of the office programs, word, excel, etc. when I click on the
help "?" and the search source is my local computer all I get is what I
belive is XML code. Multiple lines of code.
How do I get the local help funciton to display information?

The internet (Online) help works OK, but I neeed local help also.
