Office 2007 Home and Student License Expiration?

N

Nancy

I went to Staples to purchase Office 2007 Home and Student last night and the
manager asked me if I knew that the licensing for the product expires after
two years and that the software is no longer usable after that time. I have
been unable to find any review that mentions a two year license term. Does
anyone know if this is true or not?

Bolderdash.
Go to another software store that knows what they're talking about.

If you do your homework before you walk in the store, as you really should,
all any store clerk needs to do is ask you how you want to pay for your
software.

Sounds as if the Best Buy jerk was trying to up the sale for his/her
commission.

The old adage "Buyer Beware" had never been meant more since I bought this
computer. However, realizing this has not helped solve my problems. Thank
you for your reply

I used to work for a major computer manufacturer and I did my best to
educate my clients. Believe me, I preferred an educated client. It was the
ones with the "computer expert" that made me go hide in the ladies room
because I couldn't stand the lies the client was being fed by said expert.

(One "expert" was telling her friend about all about SDRAM - "soft drive
RAM". ARRRRRGH!!!)

uninstall/reinstall ominpass. It is a pain and i not comfortable with un/re.

No clue, I don't use fingerprint readers. If you aren't comfortable
uninstalling Omnipass (never heard of this product), then find a computer
technician who can help you. Your neighbor's 13-yr kid is probably not the
person you want to help you.
