I am considering buying the home and student edition of office 2007, but have
a few questions first:

- If i install the 3 user licence version on 3 different computers, how does
it affect any future re-installations or computer upgrades. Would I be able
to say uninstall it off of an old computer and install it on a new one with
all three lisences previously used? If I had a problem with my computer and
had to re-install vista, could I re-install office with all three liscences
previously used?

- Also, do the other liscences run out, i.e. if I installed it on two
computers and saved the other lisence for a period of time, i.e. until I next
upgraded my computer (e.g. a couple of years), would that lisence still be
valid then?

I would be grateful for any help with this matter as as I am sure you are
aware it is a fairly expensive purchase.

The retail version can be used on up to three computers in your household.
If one system dies, you may install it on another. If you would need to
reinstall it (like when you reformat a system), that still only counts as
one installation. You may have to do a telephone activation but that's not a
big deal. And yes, that licesne would be available for your use down the
road if you chose not to install it now.

As long as you only have it installed on three machines at any one time, it
doesn't matter what machines it is on.
You can re-install as many times as you like, as long as it is only on three
machines at any one time.

Am I right in assuming that the answer to my question about any future
computer upgrade would not be covered, even if I were to uninstall it from
the old computer? Otherwise, thank you for your reply!

I have done all of these things. There is no problem.

The Licence is for three working installations, providing it is not
installed/active on more than 3 you can repair/upgrade to your hearts
content you may have to use phone activation to explain you've removed from
one to install on another
