Office 2007 Install! big matter

Y

Yahia

Helo,
because of licensing prob, we must add powerpoint to an Office 2007 basic
version (without powerpoint):

- Can i install just MS PowerPoint of office 2007 MSDN version, on computers
with Office 2007 basic version;

this means that i'll have two diffent editions of Office on same machine

MSDN is not an official media version for installing for production use. YOu will need to contact a licensing expert for assistance with this but MSDN is not for production work, period, except for one copy of Office on the MSDN owner's machine.

Please read the MSDN terms of use before throwing out such a cavalier and incorrect answer.

From the MSDN pages:
MSDN Subscription Terms
MSDN Subscriptions offer each licensed user the right to use subscription software for *design, development, testing, and demonstration* purposes. Please see the Master End User License Agreement (PDF) or your organization's volume license agreement for all terms and conditions. Please visit the MSDN Licensing for more details, or the MSDN FAQ for the answers to common questions.

Hi Milly

I am aware of the licensing with MSDN since I have a Universal subscription. Before that I had Retail subscriptions going back quite a few years

But the OP wrote the following

''this means that i'll have two diffent editions of Office on same machine ''

I did not find anything wrong with giving the OP the answer that I did since you also posted the following

""except for one copy of Office on the MSDN owner's machine.""

To me that translates as one copy on his machine and also that any part or suite of Office from MSDN . This also applies to corporate subscriptions that download and install on a corporate network.

Single subscriptions are restricted to a single machine but corporate downloads with volume licenses are a bit different if you read all the licensing's agreement concerning corporate licensing details

Did you also read the part that said he wanted to add to "Office Basic" which is an OEM only version? No where did the OP state that they had a site license or a volume license and OEM Basic Office does not carry any volume license, only OEM.
