Office 2007 install over a 60 day trial

Dear All,
my son has an HP laptop running Vista & with an Office 2007 trial
installed on it.
The question is, can we install a fresh copy of Office 2007 over this
or would we have to uninstall the trial first.
On trying to run setup exe from the new disk, the cd drive starts but
then nothing?
Any help would be gratefully appreciated

Uninstall trial first, clean out temp files & reboot, before installing from
cd/dvd
NB sometimes it takes a while before there is any obvious activity when you
insert the cd

It's recommended that you uninstall the trial copy first prior to installing
another copy of Office.
