I'm having a problem installing Office 2007 Pro Plus on a Windows XP system.
The installer begins the installation, but after a relatively short time
shuts down with a message that the installation did not complete. This is
from a volume licensing pack and we have a sufficient number of licenses.
There's no further explanation. I've tried more than once. This computer has
Office 2003 installed and I would prefer not to remove it.
I have had a similar problem installing a retail package of Office 2007 Home
and Student on a different computer - just the message that the installation
did not complete, with no further explanation. This computer had Office 2000
installed plus a separate installation of Word 2002. I removed all of Office
2000 but the installation of 2007 still did not complete.
As far as I know both systems have all Windows updates installed.
