Office 2007 Installation Issues

I am already at the 3rd tier of MS and they cannot figure this out yet..
Bought Office 2007 Small Business Upgrade. Install completed the first time
(only), yet each time you start Outlook, Word or Excel, the windows installer
starts again. You can successfully cancel out of all the pop-ups and
eventually get to the program, but something is not right. Plus - Business
contact manager does not work nor does Accounting Express. Here is what has
been tried so far..if anyone out there has a clue on this one, it would be
great to hear from you..Before I wipe out my hard drive and start over...

1. Install from CD worked only once. Now it says that it cannot find an
upgrade program to continue.
2. Installed using a trial file, with my product ID. Installed OK ,but
issues continue.
3. Uninstalled using the Windows Clean Install Utility, cleaned the register
for all 2007 products, re-installed with CDs - NO go, says again, no products
to upgrade, yet I have Outlook 2003, Excel 2003, Access 2003, Works 8.5
4. Tried un-installing for the trial file and CD - same issues
5. tried all the above installing as ADMIN - this is one of the fixes MS
suggested.

All has failed...

PS: tried to revert back to 2003 - Outlook will not work.

Anyone..Please

Thanks

Hi,

Have you considered asking for a refund, and then get the full version,
instead of the upgrade?

My experience of all Microsoft "upgrades" is that they cause more
problems than they solve...

I actually got it to install last night (total of 18 hrs of Vista issues,
then another 12 hours downtime in office 2007 issues). Still waiting on MS to
contact me, I have
offered to submit my solution for a white paper - we will see. It involved a
lot of registry manipulation.. Not a typical install for someone who may be
in my same position that has min. computer experience. I think normally it
would have worked well, I beleive it has soemthing to do with downloading the
trial version. That is where the problem lies.

Everything works well with the exception of Accounting Express - can't get
to accept my prodcut code - still thinks it is in trial mode. MS is working
on getting me a full product key code, so hopefully that will work.

Thanks for replying

BTW - Beware installing Vista and Office 2007 with Vista - not a walk in the
park! Nor is it worth the trouble..not that great of an OS.
