Office 2007 license query

Hi

I had a 60 day trial of office on my laptop, and then I purchased the office
home and student 2007. The laptop has started to go wrong, and the
manufacturers will only look at it if they format it first. The office
software is licensed for 3 PCs, so when the laptop comes back and i need to
re-register the office suite, is there a way I can 'remind it' that this is
PC number 1/will it know it is being re-registered to the same laptop? (I
have another laptop and a desktop that it needs to be regiestered with). Hope
that makes sense!

You dont have to register, you have to activate
You are allowed to activate on 3 working PC's, not 3 installations (if a PC
fails, or is formated you have one less for your total allowance)
It maybe that you have to use phone activation, if online fails.
Remember to uninstall any trial, prior to installing from CD
