Office 2007 nightmare

So I tried installing offce 2007 and running windows update at the same time
(on windows vista) ... my computer was not able to handle the office install
and thus crashed in an attempt to rollback the install. Now when I try to
install office it gives me that useless error that that the install was not
able to complete (around the 70% mark). I have no idea what to do, i searched
around alot and did not find how to manually uninstall office.. just a bunch
of beta issues.

Any ideas?
Thanks

Hi, Some.kid,

Try running the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility to remove registry
references to the aborted installation, then try running setup again.

Windows installer cleanup utility is perhaps not the best method when working
with a corrupt office 2007 installation.

To completely manually remove office 2007 please follow KB928218
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928218/en-us

This article talks about trial but is basically instructions to manually
uninstall any office 2007 product.
