In all Office apps, I'm in the habit of clicking the save shortcut (the small
blue disk icon) before I click the close (X) icon at the top right corner of
the window to close the application after I've edited a document.
Since I've started using Office 2007, if I click close (X) too soon after
clicking save, I get an error window telling me that:
"This program is not responding. To return to Windows and check the status
of the program, click Cancel. If you choose to end the program immediately,
you will lose any unsaved data. To end the program now, click End Now."
Is there any way to fix this so that the users will get some kind of status
message that the application will close as soon as it is done with the save
operation? Or perhaps give them an hourglass while it's saving? What about
disabling the X close icon until the program is finished with the save?
