Office 2007 OEM

Hi there,

I have a question regarding the new rules for Office 2007 OEM
versions. I have read that if you are shipping Office 2007 you can
install it using the OPK, and have the option of applying the license
at the time of sale, or after the 60-day trial period has elapsed.

However, my question is this - can you install Office 2007 OEM on an
existing PC that doesn't have Office installed at all - I am happy
with the fact that the OEM license means it can't be transferred to
another PC, but does it mean that you have to install it with new
hardware?

Thanks

Andy

Hi Andy,

I'm not clear on your definition of 'new rules' would be, but the Office OEM editions are *intended* to be 'pre-installed on a new
PC', rather than an 'existing' PC.
