Office 2007 & Outlook 2003

I have installed Windows Vista Ultimate along w/ Office Ultimate 2007. Since
we are still running Exchange 5.5 and Outlook 2007 doesn't work w/ Exchange
5.5 I had to uninstall outlook 2007 and install Outlook 2003. Since doing
this everytime I bring up Outlook 2003 I continue to get a pop-up message
stating that "Please wait while Windows configures Microsoft Ultimate 2007".
It will go through about 7 or 8 interations of this before finally stopping.

Any suggestions how to stop this "Please wait while Windows configures
Microsoft Ultimate 2007". It basically locks the system up until it's done
configuring. If I shutdown Vista and bring it back up the same thing happens.

Should I have uninstalled Office Ultimate 2007 completely first and then
install Outlook 2003, then reinstall Office Ultimate 2007 w/o Outlook 2007?

I think you are correct. You should have done that.
You can still do that.
