Office 2007 Performance Issues

Hi,

I have had an ongoing problem for a few months now with a client's PC, it's
a brand new PC dual core etc etc runnings Windows XP Pro, after getting the
PC I installed Office 2007 Professional on it fresh. When the user opens
attachments or hyperlinks in outlook or any file through windows explorer it
takes several minutes to open the corresponding file/link, although if she
opens up word or excel etc and goes File Open it will open instantly, I have
tried local and network files no difference in performance, I have Office
2007 & Windows XP up to date with all the latest updates and I ran a
diagnostic on the Office Suite., its not the pst or ost file because its not
just outlook. Can someone please help me with this problem?

Kind Regards
Simon

Having the exact same problem. I replied to another thread with similar
issues -- not terribly familiar with the format here and apologize if I
didn't post in the best spot. I repaired the PST file -- no errors. It's
intermittent and will go away and then return. it's driving me crazy.

No problem, everybody is new at sometime. Simply start your own new
thread, state the problem, application, version and what you have tried
so far, and someone will reply with suggestions.

I have posted a similar issue and searched over the internet for some
resolution. What I have noticed is, if you turn on the Auto Preview for the
attachment in Outlook, then double click on the attachment after the auto
preview loads, it will open up correctly. You shouldn't have to do this, and
I am still waiting for some replies to my post to gain any additional insight.
