Office 2007 Pro Outlook Alerts

Office 2007 Pro SP1

I have outlook setup to play a sound when email arrives

It was working fine until either SP1 or a security fix was put on.

Just installed 2007 PRo this past week and I had over 60 updates to apply.

I checked in control panel sounds and the settings for new email alerts
sound does work.

Any ideas or suggestions

Remove and reinstall Office Sounds.

But I find out that the problem is a liitle deepier now

The sounds do work if the mail is placed in my inbox

I have several rules setup to move the incoming email to a specified folder.
Thats when the sounds of incoming does not work

Is it possibly a setting somewhere?

I just was using Office 2002 SP3 Outlook 2002 and it worked with that
version everytime

I am thinking this might be a design issue or a oversite of some kind
