Office 2007 Professional - error message

I have xp pro - sp2 on my brand new hard drive. I installed office 2007 pro
but none of the programs will open - when I try, I get the error message that
the program has experienced a problem and needs to close. This is happening
with all of the programs (word, excel, etc.)

Any ideas?

Sounds like a borked install. Try uninstalling, re-booting, disabling your
AV app and re-installing.
