I am having a problem opening up a Word Document in Office 2007 from an
attachment or direcly double clicking on a Word 2003 or 2007 file from either
my desktop or my network drive. What i get is Word 2007 opens to a blank
page.
If I open Word 2007 first then open the file it opens. For e-mail
attachments i have to save it to disk, Open Word 2007 and then open. This is
not very productive.

This is only a problem with the legacy GX280 image that we are using -
However I am a tech at an ageny with over 500 of these machines and we can't
just re-image these all at once. On a new clean PC Office works fine. Is
there a registry edit or script that can be pushed down to facilitate the
opening of these Word documents/

Hi, euctechstew,

Can you send a script that runs "winword.exe /r" to re-register Word with
its file extensions?

I'd test it first, but that may be an option for you.

This is similar to a problem I am having, the only difference is, if I
minimize it, it pops right back up open....try that and see if it is the
same problem.
