Office 2007 Programs especially Outlook very slow after installati

Running XP Professional 2002 Service Pack 2
Intel Pentium M Processor 2.00GHz
1.00 GB RAM

I noticed a major difference in the speed of the office programs, especially
Outlook after upgrading from MS Office Pro 2003.

Any suggestions?
