Office 2007 Reactivation

L

Llew Ralph

Following a hard drive failure and replacement, I have reinstalled an OEM
version of Office 2007 under Vista Home Premium.

The product key was accepted but the Activation Wizard did not present itself.

Both the activation option on the Start Menu and the Activate button within
Resources are unresponsive but do not generaqte any error message.

Uninstalling and reinstalling Office has not resolved the issue.

Has anybody any suggestions how to reactivate?

TIA

Thank you for your response.

Unfortunately, I have already tried the suggestions provided in KB919895
without success.

Is there anything else you can suggest.

TIA

I don't see where you mentioned in your original question that you
"already tried the suggestions provided in KB919895 without success".
That would have been helpful to know. Perhaps if you tell us what
you've already done, then we won't have to waste our time suggesting
things you've already tried.

Thank you for your response.

Please accept my apologies for not mentioning that the troubleshooting
suggestions contained in KB919895 had already been tried, but much of what is
contained in that article did not seem relevant to this issue.

The only symptom experienced is that the Activation Wizard fails to start
and that no error message is received (as mentioned in OP)

However, results obtained were as follows:

Method1: The time and date settings on the computer are correct.

Method 2: Options>Resources>About reports that the version is Home and
Student and that it is licensed.

Method 3: Deleting Opa12.dat does not enable the Activation Wizard to start.

Method 4: The internet connection is functioning normally.

If you are able to make any further suggestions, these will be much
appreciated.

TIA
