Office 2007 Ribbon

Christine

Just installed Office 2007 at home, but use Office 2003 at work -- 95% of my
usage. When trying to do things at home, I am having a hard time getting
familiar with the "ribbon" at the top of documents. I spend most of my time
on the help button trying to figure out where toolbar options are (still
haven't figured that one out!), etc. Is there a way to use 2007, but still
have the classic 2003 look to the top of documents. It would save lots of
time and frustration! Thank you in advance for your help.

Tools, Options now resides under the Office Button at the bottom of the
panel. Word Options for Word, Excel Options for Excel, ect.

Thank you for that information. It does help me. But on the 2003 Word, I
could go to view and toolbars would come up. I could choose picture,
formatting, but most importantly, I wanted to find the forms toolbar. Is
there one location (such as the old "View") where I can check the toolbars
I'd like to use? If not, where is the forms toolbar hiding? Thanks again!

That is part of the "Developer" tab now. Looking up Forms in Word help
and selecting "Create forms that users complete in Word"
will walk you through it, see excerpt below(snipped from help)

Click the Microsoft Office Button , and then click Word Options.
Click Popular.
Select the Show Developer tab in the Ribbon check box, and then click OK.

There are also the same tutorials for Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
