Office 2007 RTM on Vista RTM crashes.. ALOT

Are we the only company seeing massive stability problems with office2007 on
windows vista - running it on XP gives no problems..

On vista the problem is the same on Beta 1/2 with or wo technical refresh..
the applications eg word stops working completely if you try the repair
function it does so.. but still.. you cannot start word.. powerpoint etc..

This have been tested on several machines all clean installs no upgrades of
any kind - and even the released RTM versions shows the same defect after a
few days normal use on a clean machine..

Any ideas or is office 2007 on vista just br0ken? As it works on windows XP

Word MUST see a printer driver and if it is missing or corrupt, it will stop
Word from opening. This is is the second mention of a Dell printer being
under suspicion tonight!

Yes, remove the Dell drivers and go with the Microsoft drivers for that
printer. Whenever that printer is selected as default or selected in
Word/PPT, Word/PPT will crash.
That particular printer has been causing that problem under Vista since
B2TR and Dell hasn't managed to fix it yet in their driver.
